As president and CEO, Schlichting, 56, leads an integrated health system with annual revenue of $4 billion and 3,000 employees. By investing in new technology, capital projects and top-notch medical staff, Schlichting has breathed new life and direction into the organization. She joined Henry Ford as senior vice president and chief administrative officer in 1998, and took the helm five years later.
