Cogent HMG, Brentwood, Tenn., is partnering with CaroMont Medical Group to expand the hospitalist program at 403-bed Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, N.C.

The expansion includes more than 20 physicians and four mid-level providers. Gaston Memorial is CaroMont's flagship facility.

"Cogent HMG has an excellent reputation for improving quality and lowering cost through its hospitalist services at hospitals across the country. We believe they will be a terrific partner because they are well-suited to help us build on our own accomplishments in containing costs for our patients while providing award-winning, nationally rated care."
