Sentara in joint venture for new surgery center

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, Woodbridge, Va., formed a joint venture with development and management company Blue Chip Surgical Center Partners, Cincinnati, and a group of surgeons to form Lake Ridge Ambulatory Surgery Center.

The 9,500-square-foot surgery center is scheduled to open later this year in Lake Ridge, Va., on the second floor of a Sentara Healthcare outpatient medical campus, according to a Blue Chip news release.

The surgery center will have one operating room and one procedure room and will be focused on outpatient surgical care, orthopedic care, spine care and pain management, according to the release.
