Sheridan Healthcare, a Sunrise, Fla.-based provider of clinical and management services for providers, has named John Carlyle as CEO,
according to a news release.
Carlyle, whose age wasn't provided, founded Accuro Healthcare Solutions, a Dallas-based physician services provider, where he served as CEO. He replaces Dr. Mitchell Eisenberg, Sheridan's co-founder. Eisenberg shifts to executive chairman of the board. Sheridan co-founder Dr. Lewis Gold will remain executive vice chairman of the board.
"John's breadth of experience managing successful healthcare services companies will ensure Sheridan both continues its industry leadership in physician services and capitalizes on new opportunities in today's dynamic healthcare environment," Eisenberg said in the release.
Sheridan Healthcare is a portfolio company of Hellman & Friedman, a San Francisco-based private equity firm, with offices in New York and London. Sheridan, with its subsidiaries and affiliates, operates in 23 states and employs more than 2,200 healthcare providers.
