Dr. Gene Green was named president of Bethesda, Md.'s Suburban Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. Green, currently vice president of medical affairs and CMO for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, a 400-provider multispecialty group practice, succeeds Brian Gragnolati in the position. Gragnolati will transition into a full-time role as senior vice president for Johns Hopkins Health System.
Green joined Johns Hopkins Community Physicians in 2003, according to a
news release announcing his new appointment, and was a paramedic and a small-business owner before entering medical school.
Not-for-profit Suburban Hospital, one of six Johns Hopkins Medicine hospitals, has an affiliation with the nearby National Institutes of Health, the release noted.
