Presence Medical Group, a Chicago-based multispecialty group, named Howard Drenth CEO, effective Jan. 7.

Drenth previously was VP of physician services for Kettering Health Network, Dayton, Ohio. He also served as a regional director at Florida's BayCare Health System and in leadership roles at Valley Health Medical Group in New Jersey and U.S. HealthWorks in Georgia, according to a Presence Medical Group news release.

Presence Medical Group, part of Presence Health, has more than 320 physicians practicing throughout Illinois and was created following the 2011 merger of Provena Health, Mokena, Ill., and Chicago's Resurrection Health Care. Drenth's age was unavailable at deadline.
