Press Ganey Associates, a South Bend, Ind.-based provider of healthcare performance improvement analytics and other services, acquired Morehead Associates, an employee and physician engagement firm, for an undisclosed sum.

Morehead Associates, Charlotte, N.C., contracts with health systems and group purchasing organizations. The deal is expected to support Press Ganey's mission to improve the patient experience industry.

"As the first line of contact, employee and physician perceptions, alignment and engagement are among the most critical factors in understanding opportunities for improvement," Press Ganey CEO Patrick Ryan said in a news release. "We believe the combination of Morehead's capabilities with Press Ganey's strengths will better support our clients."
