CareSpot, a Brentwood, Tenn.-based urgent-care chain co-founded by Rick Scott before he became governor of Florida, has named Dr. Frank Campbell as its chief medical officer.
Campbell, 44, takes over for Dr. Nathan Newman, according to a spokeswoman.
Campbell was previously chief medical officer at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, Nashville, and has served as medical director of operations at Voorhees (N.J.) Hospital.
TriStar Health and CareSpot in September
formed a joint venture to open as many as 15 urgent-care centers in Middle Tennessee.
The spokeswoman noted that CareSpot expects to expand this year in Tennessee, Texas, Kansas and Florida, where it currently has most of its operations.
CareSpot
changed its name from Solantic in May; the Scott family sold its stake in the company in 2011. Solantic was founded in 2001.
