Truven Health Analytics, the healthcare business unit spun off from Thomson Reuters, has named Dr. Michael Taylor as chief medical officer.
Taylor replaces
Dr. Raymond Fabius, who is leaving the company to pursue other undisclosed business interests, according to a news release.
An internist, Taylor most recently served as medical director for
health promotion and disease management at Caterpillar, where he oversaw the wellness program for the industrial giant.
Before that, he served as corporate medical director at Pekin (Ill.) Hospital and Progressive Health Systems.
His age was not available at deadline.
Thomson Reuters completed its
$1.25 billion sale of Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Truven to private equity firm Veritas Capital in June. Truven is a provider of data, analytics and performance benchmarking tools to hospitals, health plans, government agencies and pharmaceutical companies.
