After nearly 40 years in nursing, Linda Knodel has witnessed many changes in the field, including the expansion of technology in patient care, shifts in care settings and skill sets, and even changes in the work-life balance expectations of nurses. But one thing has remained constant: “Nursing continues to be the most trusted profession,” Knodel said.
Eric Weaver's healthcare epiphany came in Cuba. He's no Communist and says much of the Cuban system wouldn't work in the U.S. But on a 2014 research trip with other healthcare executives, Weaver, 39, saw how Cuban primary-care doctors and nurses are embedded in neighborhoods.
