Grundy County Memorial Hospital Poem
By Jeanie Larson | October 07, 2011
Grundy County a little star,How I wonder what you are.Out in the country all alone,This workplace really sets the tone. When the blazing sirens are gone,It’s the employees God shines upon,They work hard during the light,Sometimes even all through the night. No matter what it never seems dark,Administration gives us a spark,They know us by name wherever we go,Smile and say hi, it really is so.Our jobs they make sure we keep,

St. Elizabeth Hospital Poem
By Leslie Norman | September 30, 2011
The Purple Bus is a symbol of spirit; From which compassion and hope resound; From the moment you walk into the door; Its presence looms abound. The spirit is characterized by the 3 Fs;Family, friendly and fun.It is only felt in an organization;Where the Purple Bus is run.The driver must have clear visionAnd be accountable for the ride; They must drive with consistency and purpose And not back down when they are tried. Those with joyfulness of spirit

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City Poem
By Pam Harris | September 30, 2011
To serve and care for others is our way to show from our heartThat our patient-centered culture sets us apart. To touch, to heal, to help someone along life's wayIs a blessed feeling we experience each and every day!Our lives are touched by both the young and the old;Everyone expects the best from us and we know that without being told.Teamwork is the very best it can be,And every patient can see that at Baptist-UC.Our goal is to look back each day and say,

Healthcare needs revolution! And not just grand elocution. At ZocDoc we thirstTo put patients firstAnd that, we think, is the solution. It began almost five years ago,When Cyrus, our CEOWas flying, congested,And the air pressure bestedHis eardrum, and made him say, “D'oh!”Buying tickets to France or PeruIs as easy as finding shampoo…If you do it online! It saves everyone time—So why can't you find doctors, too?

Memorial Healthcare Poem
By Anthony Ingram, senior data center analyst, Information Technology Department | September 27, 2011
'Twas a warm day in August I first strode through these doors,I remember it vividly it was 1994.I'll be here for a few years I murmured down low,Before anyone knows it I'll be on the go.Little did I know that with each passing day,This place of caring and sharing would compel me to stay. From our most knowledgeable doctors striving to cure all who ail,To our compassionate nurses whose smiles never fail. From all my co-workers doing their part sight unseen,To the hard-working people keeping everything clean.

Our gift to the community is a very special one.I go to work with a powerful purpose. A purpose of compassion, a purpose of love, a purpose of kindness and a purpose of unity.Nathan Adelson Hospice is more than just a job.We provide an unconditional shoulder to lean on, an unconditional flame to light a dark room, faith where only fear is present, a hand to hold, an ear to listen, a smile to share, and hearts to warm. Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital Poem
September 26, 2011
Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital, nestled in the heart of Cajun Country,Is the kind of workplace others are jealous of, if I may put it so bluntly. As you walk through the building, one can't help but observe,That our spot on the Best Places to Work in Healthcare is one that's richly deserved. You'll see smiling staff helping anyone in need,No patient is frustrated with waiting, due to our sharp, attentive speed.Physicians greet employees by name as they pass through the halls,

Rex Healthcare Poem
By Victoria Edrington, Emergency Department Staff Assistant | September 26, 2011
It is not uncommon…to see the president of the hospital escorting an elderly woman down the hallway. Her hand is tucked in the crux of his elbow as she tells him she was born here and she's here today to see her newborn granddaughter. It is not uncommon…to hear words of compassion and support as the emergency department team leader wraps an arm around the shoulders of the devastated nurse who worked tirelessly pumping on the chest of a young mother who coded and “just didn't make it through.”

I work in Antigo at Langlade HospitalWhere the staff is always prepared to prove their mettleI wear a white coat and use a stethTo better hear my patients' breathMy colleagues are full of funEven though they are frequently on the runMy nurses always show how much for patients they careAnd often in patients' sorrows they shareThe staff here is far from boringBut are never lacking in their caringI go from patient room to roomWith the nurses I try to dispel the gloom
