Q: What is this program about?
A: Modern Healthcare's "Fast 40" will recognize the fastest growing healthcare companies in these sectors: Hospital/hospital systems, physician group practices, payers/insurers, and suppliers.
Q: When is the call for entries?
A: The call for self-nominated entries opens on Monday, February 6, 2012.
Q: When is the deadline?
A: The deadline for completed entry forms is May 25, 2012.
Q: What are the criteria?
A: To be eligible, companies must:
- Be headquartered in the U.S.
- Have at least $20 million in revenue for 2011, and
- Have been in business for five years or more.
Q: Is there a fee to enter/nominate?
A: No fee required.
Q: Why do I need to list six years of my company's revenue?
A: We are looking for continuously growing companies. Knowing the revenue for each year helps us calculate that growth.
Q: What if I don't know my 2011 revenue yet?
A: That's OK. Estimate your 2011 revenues, and we can retrieve exact figures from the financial statements.
Q: If my company was founded sometime during 2006 and it doesn't have a full year of revenue, is it still eligible?
A: Yes. Report what you had in revenue for the partial year and we will prorate it.
Q: What kind of financial documents do I need to provide?
A: To be eligible, privately held companies must be willing to submit audited financial statements or tax returns for evaluation by an outside accounting firm. The company does not need to send any financial documents at the time of entry.
Q: When will I be asked for these documents?
A: If your company is likely to make the list, the company will be asked to provide the financial information in the spring. Companies that fail to provide such documentation will no longer be eligible.
