Readers voted for one of 100 physician executives who made up the final ballot, with the 50 physicians who received the most votes making the final list. The ranking will be determined by the number of votes received. Modern Physician and Modern Healthcare reserve the right to resolve voting irregularities.
From Dec. 8, 2008, through Jan. 9, readers submitted more than 4,300 nominations. The final ballot was based on those nominations. Voting began on Jan. 26 and continued through March 6, with more than 27,600 votes cast during that period. The 50 physicians who received the most votes will make the final list, with the ranking determined by the number of votes received. Modern Physician and Modern Healthcare reserve the right to resolve voting irregularities.
